    Great Song. Great Slides’ Work!

As for PH. Yes still Alive, albeit with a minor heart problem some 5 yrs ago.

Briiliant song. – average album ( Nadir’s Big Chance ), certainlyby Hammill’s high standards.

Incidentally, PH did not write this song.

I’m a big Hammill fan too. Awesome tribute to an awesome man!

Thankyou, clearly the limits placed upon you for making this sequence were productive, I was reminded a little of my fave film maker and surrealist Jan Svankmajer….

    Wow! Thanks for uploading.
Great to hear this again. I have “Nadir’s Big Chance” on vinyl…and they don’t come out much these days.

  15. thefatmonk says:

Brilliant song and very creative video clip I like it !

Thanks Fat Monk! That was really great. Since about 1977, every year on July 1st I play that song. I would love to have your video to go along with it now.

I flew to London to witness the 1st reunion show May 6, 2005. What an event!

So now, with Jackson out of the band, will they continue as a trio? Check out sofasound on the net

thank you for your comment. I went to see them when they played in Amsterdam. It was really amazing to see them play live. Jackson playing his two saxes at once, and Evans still matchless on the drums. And of course Hammills vocals were still as powerful as when they started.

  19. VladDImpala says:

    That was fun! Very creative!

For the person who asked about PH still being alive, he’s very much alive. I guess the heart attack news of few years ago made people think he died.

He reformed VdGG and yes he still performs solo. VdGG did a series of sold out gigs in Europe last year as well as releasing new material. Google for more VdGG/PH info.

I think i’m mainly a Van der Graaf Generator fan myself, but from his solo works i like the ‘Fool’s Mate’ album the best. Great to hear there are still people enjoying that music

  21. ThomasDeP says:

I remember “Nadirs big chance” from like 30 years ago…. I loved that song.

yes, Peter Hammill is still alive. He’s still performing even.
