I’m marrying a woman from vietnam and I am wondering if the mental health clinic in vietnam would pull any health records from the country you are from. You have to go to get a psychiatric assesment in order to apply for a marriage license.
I’m guessing since you just have to get an assessment, then probably not. They are just going to do a basic mental health screening on you(there in vietnam),they have no reason to go back into your entire mental health history. That is, unless you go tell everyone about your history with mental illness, that could open doors.I wouldn’t worry too much about it,just keep your mental health history to yourself!! Good luck to you.
they can’t get any medical records unless you give them permission.
No. They don’t pull any health records from the country you are from. You just show them a psychiatric assessment certificate issued by a licensed clinic in your country (or by an competent clinic in Vietnam). Make sure that certificate has the clinic name, signature, full name of doctor-in-charge, a seal/stamp.
